Connect OKX securely to CoinRobot.AI

Connect OKX to CoinRobot.AI using a trading-only API key, current IP restrictions and your API passphrase. Save and test the Connector, then compare account and robot balances before starting a Plan. The demonstration uses fake credentials and simulated balances; it does not perform a live API test or start trading.

Prepare your OKX account

CoinRobot trades through a restricted OKX API while your assets remain at the exchange. Keep the intended USDC in your Trading account, not another product.

Secure your OKX account and complete any required verification before starting. Use only capital you are prepared to put at risk.

Create a trading-only API key

In OKX API management, create a separate key for CoinRobot. Enable Read and Trade only. Keep withdrawal and unnecessary permissions disabled, and use cash/Spot mode.

OKX requires an API passphrase created with the API key. Keep it available for the Connector setup. Follow the linked official guide if exchange labels differ from the illustrated checklist.

Choose the OKX Connector interface

In CoinRobot, open Connectors and choose OKX. Review the interface details and use the interface guide for exchange-specific setup instructions.

A Connector links an account. Saving it does not create a Plan or begin trading.

Name the Connector and select assets

Enter a recognizable name, such as Demo OKX, and select a manageable list of supported assets that your Plans may trade.

Selecting assets does not buy them. Your strategy and Plan determine actual entries and exits.

Apply the current IP restrictions

Copy every current execution-server IP from CoinRobot’s interface information or OKX guide into the exchange API allowlist. For OKX, consult the guide even if no selectable IP field is displayed.

Use the addresses currently shown, not an old screenshot, and save the restrictions at the exchange. IP binding limits where the key works; trading-only permissions limit what it can do.

Enter your API credentials securely

Paste the API key, secret and API passphrase into their matching fields. The API passphrase is the one created with this key, not necessarily your OKX login password.

Treat these credentials as passwords and do not send them in chat or email. The demonstration placeholders are deliberately unusable and are not validated against an exchange.

Save and test the Connector

Save the Connector. In your real account, use Test in the Saved Connector list to check access.

If the test fails, review the permissions, current IP restrictions, active key and exact credentials. The demonstration does not execute a live test or claim that fake credentials passed one.

Compare account and robot balances

Open Dashboard and expand Open position balances by connector. Select your Connector and choose Show full account balance. Compare the account amount with the amount assigned to robot positions, and inspect the difference.

Before a Plan starts, funds may be visible without being assigned to the robot. OKX can deduct trading fees from the purchased quantity, which matters when comparing fills and holdings.

The demonstrated balances are simulated. Review New Plan or the guide when you are ready to learn about the next step; connecting the account alone does not start trading.
